 






Eligibility

South African and internationals are eligible for entry in the Construction New Media Awards 2008.
Any project – interface design, educational and entertainment programmes, interactive product display, self-promotion or other – created for digital distribution on, for instance, a floppy, CD-ROM, mobile phone, online service or the WWW is eligible.
The version of the entry being submitted for judging must have been produced and executed between 1 February 2008 and 31 January 2009. If produced for a client, the respective client concerned must give permission. The same project may not be entered more than once in the same category.
Copyright

Copyright clearance of all material used in the submission is the responsibility of the entrant and not the Construction Awards. Each entrant grants the Construction Awards the right to use entries for promotional purposes.
Judges and judging

The decisions of the Construction Awards judges shall be final and binding – no correspondence will be entered into. Standard PC and Mac computers will be used as judging platforms.

Awards
Each discipline and its sub-categories can be awarded a gold trophy, which will be accompanied by a certificate. All finalists will also receive certificates. Duplicate copies of these certificates can be purchased after the award ceremony. The Grand Prix will be awarded across all categories.
The Construction Awards reserves the right not to make an award in any category.
Entry deadline

The closing date for entries is 16 January 2009 – any entries received after that date will not be eligible.

Entries
- Please make sure all details/names are correctly spelt.
- All entry forms must be filled out in full.
- Should any submission fail to install or run during the judging period, it will be withdrawn from competition and the Construction Awards reserves the right not to refund entry fees in this instance.
- The Construction Awards reserves the right not to judge an entry if the relevant passwords or access are not provided or URLs are inaccurate.
- The Construction Awards reserves the right to refuse submissions or to re-categorise entries where necessary – the entrant shall be duly notified.

- Each entrant assumes full responsibility for each entry. The Construction Awards is not responsible for loss or damage to material submitted.
- The Construction Awards reserves the right not to enter into correspondence with entrants on any subject.

Entry fees

- Entry fees are inclusive of VAT and are payable at time of submission (tax invoices will be issued once payment has been received).
- Entries are not refundable.
- Only online entry forms are available – a printed copy of the online version must accompany all postal entries.
- Entry fees are R200 per entry for students and R700 for non-students.
